About Juncus tenageia
Juncus tenageia belongs to the rush family (Juncaceae). It is a small, slender rush with thin, upright stems and inconspicuous brown flower heads. The species grows naturally on damp, bare, sandy ground, for instance along the edge of pools that dry out in summer.
In a garden it only suits a wet, open spot. It is not an ornamental plant and is mainly of interest to anyone building a natural pond edge or pool.
