Echinochloa oryzoides: complete guide

About Echinochloa oryzoides

Echinochloa oryzoides belongs to the grass family (Poaceae). It is an annual grass that grows mostly in wet conditions, such as rice fields, ditch edges and banks. In rice growing it counts as a stubborn weed.

The species is not used as an ornamental grass in gardens. You can recognise it by its flower head with bristly spikelets, typical of the genus Echinochloa.
