Swan River daisy is a delightful annual native to Western Australia. These dainty plants have feathery foliage and small daisy-like blooms. They grow to 30-40 cm tall forming compact mounds. The finely cut foliage creates a delicate feathery appearance. The flowers are small about 1-1.5 cm in diameter with yellow center and colored petals. They bloom continuously from June through October. These plants prefer full sun to light shade. Aim for 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Swan River daisy is not fussy about soil. It thrives in well-drained soils. Despite Australian origin these plants prefer moist soil during growing season. Water regularly during dry spells but avoid waterlogging. Pinching young plants encourages bushier growth. Deadheading promotes flowering. Swan River daisy is not winter-hardy. Grow fresh from seed each year. These plants pair well with other annuals. Plant in groups for impact.
